Giovani started DJing in 2001, under the name of Swith, in Bogota, Colombia, where he played in the main clubs of the capital, such as Sala, Monitor, Arena, Barbarela, 4 Rooms, Teatron, Sub Royal and more.

He got a couple of residencies, playing house, electro, breaks, NU School Breaks and techno in vinyl format only. Winner of one of the first dj contests of the city, Human Patern, with a style particularly based on breaks, electro and NU school breaks on vinyl. In 2004 Giovani is invited to the independent festival Bogotrax, with local and european djs.

The following year, Giovani travels to Paris France, where he manages to play in emblematic places of the French capital as the Rex Club, Galzart, Le Fleche Dòrm Le Placard headphones Festival and Le 4 sans in Bordeaux. In 2006 he arrives in New York, acquires a residence in Br 13 n Manhattan and joins the collective biatvhcorp events, with which he makes a variety of events, including the debut of Joseph Capriatti, Stephan Bozin, Perc, Gregor Tresher artists who for the first time played in the capital of the world, In the following years Giovani continues to play in prominent clubs in New York as Cielo. Output, Sullivan Room with Stephan Bodzin and Hiro Ballroom doing warmup for a rare appearance of Martin Gore and Depevhe Mode, one of the most special moments in his career.
